Terms of service

Terms governing use of the RVRC Hub testbed.

Service description

RVRC Hub is a Stage 1 UK testbed for Digital Product Passport registry, discovery and governed-access, operated by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) at the University of Strathclyde. It uses synthetic demonstration data only and is not a production regulatory system.

User obligations

Users must provide accurate identity and company information, protect their credentials, use the platform only for its intended research and demonstration purposes, and comply with applicable data protection laws when accessing DPP data.

Acceptable use

RVRC Hub must not be used to attempt unauthorised access to DPP data, to reverse-engineer provider systems, to share granted data with unauthorised third parties, or for any purpose outside the scope of the RVRC research programme.

Limitations and warranties

RVRC Hub is provided as a research testbed without warranty of any kind. NMIS and the University of Strathclyde make no representations about the accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose of DPP metadata or accessed data. The platform may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time as the research programme evolves.

Data and intellectual property

DPP content and intellectual property remain with the originating provider and data-owning organisation. RVRC Hub stores only registry metadata approved for discovery. Users must not redistribute restricted data obtained through the platform beyond the terms of the specific access grant.

Termination

NMIS may suspend or terminate access for users or companies that violate these terms. Users may request account deletion subject to audit retention requirements.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

These terms apply to the RVRC Hub Stage 1 testbed and may be revised as the programme develops.
