For data consumers
Discover and access Digital Product Passports
Search across registered DPPs from participating providers, view public metadata and request governed access to the restricted data you need for value retention activities.
Why use RVRC Hub
A governed-access layer for cross-organisational DPP discovery
Single search across providers
Search registered DPPs from all participating providers through one registry interface. Filter by product class, provider, commodity code, granularity level and more.
Public metadata is immediately visible
View product identifiers, public attributes and variable manifests without requesting access. Understand what data is available before you submit a request.
Governed, auditable access
Request specific variables at specific security levels for a stated purpose. Access is granted only by the data owner, with full audit trail.
Provider-hosted data
Restricted values are fetched directly from the provider using signed grant assertions. RVRC Hub does not store or cache restricted data beyond the request lifetime.
Access request workflow
From search to approved data access
Create an account and join a company
Sign up for an RVRC Hub account and affiliate with your organisation. Your company application is reviewed by the NMIS team.
Search for DPPs
Use the authenticated search interface to find registered DPPs by product name, class, provider, commodity code or other metadata.
Inspect public metadata and variable manifests
View product identifiers, public attributes and the full variable manifest. See which variables are public and which require access requests.
Submit an access request
Select the DPP scope (single instance, GTIN, product class or company-wide), the variables or security level you need, your purpose and requested validity period.
Data owner reviews your request
The data owner receives your request and may approve it, approve with modifications (reducing variables or duration), reject it or request more information.
Access granted data
On approval, you receive a grant. When you view the DPP, RVRC Hub fetches the authorised values from the provider using a signed assertion. The data is not stored in the hub.
Public metadata versus restricted values
What you can see without a request and what requires approval
Public metadata
Visible to all authenticated users without requesting access:
- Product name and identifiers
- Product class and commodity codes
- Provider information
- Owning company
- Variable manifests (schema only)
- Lifecycle status and last update time
Restricted values
Require an approved access request and grant:
- Repair and maintenance data
- Material composition details
- Supply chain information
- Manufacturing parameters
- Compliance documentation
- Other provider-classified fields
Variable-level grants
Access is granted at the variable level, not the DPP level
Each variable on a DPP has a security level from 0 (public) to 10 (manufacturer only). You request access to specific variables or to all variables up to a given level.
The data owner can approve a subset of the variables you requested, at a lower security level or with a shorter validity period than requested.
Grants are time-limited. You can see when a grant expires and request renewal before it lapses.
Grants can be revoked by the data owner at any time. You will be notified if a grant is revoked.
All data fetches are recorded in the audit log. The data owner can see exactly which variables you accessed and when.
