About
About RVRC Hub
A programme of the ReMake Value Retention Centre, operated by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland at the University of Strathclyde.
The ReMake Value Retention Centre
The ReMake Value Retention Centre (RVRC) is a UK research programme focused on demonstrating that cross-organisational sharing of structured product lifecycle data is technically feasible, governable and operationally useful for value retention activities — remanufacture, repair, reuse and recycling.
RVRC Hub is the programme's Digital Product Passport registry and governed-access platform. It demonstrates a UK platform aligned with the EU DPP registry direction: centralise enough metadata to identify, register and discover product passports, while keeping DPP content decentralised with the economic operator or its DPP service provider.
The programme is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) under the Manufacturing Made Smarter competition and is operated by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) at the University of Strathclyde.
Operating entity
RVRC Hub is operated by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), a strategically important centre for manufacturing innovation based at the University of Strathclyde.
The RVRC programme involves partnerships with industrial organisations including Rolls-Royce and Boeing, and technology partners including Made2Verify, to demonstrate real-world Digital Product Passport workflows for value retention.
